Interior Research

I am starting my Professional Studies by researching interior design companies, and here are the results!

Cole & Son

This wallpaper design appeals to me because the subtle colours compliment each other without being too similar.

The concept of using flamingos on a wallpaper design is unusual but i think it looks great!

I was attracted to this surface design as i like the mixture of techniques used in one cluster of flowers, and as in my own work as i have already started to combine techniques.

I have studied fish in my module work but i love the way Cole & Son have used a variety of crazy looking fish in bright colours which has resulted in a really appealing wallpaper!

Designers Guild

The colours and concept of this furnishing fabric are so bold but not too 'in your face'.

I love the painted effect on the flowers on these surface designs, which fits in with my module work. Also, this is a print onto linen therefore the colours will remain vibrant.

I like how this is a simple repeat pattern but isn't commercial. I couldn't decide which colour is my favorite so here is a sample of them all!

Orla Kiely
I went to John Lewis to buy a birthday present for my sister who loves Orla Kielys designs, so i took a sneaky photo of her homewear collection.

....
And i ended up with acorn inspired vase.
